Aquarius New Moon and the Dolphin- Listening and Thinking outside of the box
Aquarius is governed by Uranus and asks us to think outside the box, to explore new ideas and insights. At this new moon the luminaries make a positive creative aspect to Uranus (a sextile). Saturn- our ability to manifest in the real world- also aspects Uranus with a flow of energy called a trine.
Uranus represents the Higher Mind, where ideas can come out of the blue. It can tune us in to our brilliance, our genius, to inventive solutions that may be ahead of their time. Aquarians seek outcomes that benefit mankind. They are the humanitarians of the zodiac, the eccentrics and revolutionaries.
Aquarius New Moon and the Dolphin Constellation
Continuing on from the theme of the Capricorn Full Moon which connected us to the Wolf, the Teacher, I researched the hidden meaning for this New Moon in Aquarius.
In the book The Lost Zodiac 22 Ancient Star Signs by Catherine Tennant, the author introduces us to the constellations that lie beyond the ecliptic- the path of the Sun and our zodiac. These constellations have legends associated with them, when humankind was in direct relationship with the starry skies.
If you are born between January 29th and Feb 8th, then you are connected to the group of stars called The Dolphin.
No wonder you are so popular!
Did you know that The Dolphin was the sacred fish and messenger of Poseidon, the great Sea God (Neptune)? Dolphins were also sacred to Apollo, the God of Prophecy and Music. There is an ancient Greek belief that the Dolphin is the carrier of the Divine Child, a symbol of new life.
One interpretation of The Dolphin is that a Spirit Helper may be coming into your life.
In the Medicine Cards the Dolphin is Manna, the breath of life.
“Dolphin is the keeper of the sacred breath of life, and teaches us how to release emotions through Dolphin breath. Dolphin creates rhythm, swimming through the water and breathing before submerging, then holding its breath for the duration of underwater travel.
As Dolphin comes above water again, it blows its breath out in a manner resembling the popping of a cork. We can use this same technique to pull the stopper on our tensions and create total relaxation. This is a good exercise to use before entering the silence.
Manna is life force.
Manna is present in every atom, and is Great Spirit’s essence. Dolphin teaches us how to use life-manna through our breath. It revitalizes each cell and organ, and breaks the limits and dimensions of physical reality so that we may enter the Dreamtime.
If Dolphin has appeared to you today, frothing through the waves in your spread, you are to be a link to some solution for the Children of the Earth.
Imitate Dolphin and ride the waves of laughter, spreading joy in the world. Breathe and experience the manna so freely given. Break existing barriers and connect to the Dreamtime or Great Star Nation.

Aquarius New Moon and Dreamtime
Aquarius is a fixed mental sign, so can be just as stubborn as Taurus! However at this Aquarius New Moon, Jupiter is making an aspect called an inconjunct to the Sun and Moon (watch the video for a fuller explanation).
Jupiter is therefore challenging assumptions and long held belief systems. It asks us to let go.
Having just watched the movie The Water Diviner with Russell Crowe, Australia has been on my mind.
Also I teach a Course called Steps to Leadership and we have just looked at the gifts that are available to us in Leadership. In this model called Psychology of Vision one extraordinary gift is called Dreamtime.
Researching ‘dreamtime’ I came across this reference in Wikipedia:-
“Creation is believed to be the work of culture heroes who travelled across a formless land, creating sacred sites and significant places of interest in their travels.
In this way, “songlines” were established, some of which could travel right across Australia, through as many as six to ten different language groupings.
The dreaming and travelling trails of the Spirit Beings are the songlines. The signs of the Spirit Beings may be of spiritual essence, physical remains such as petrosomatoglyphs of body impressions or footprints, among natural and elemental simulacra.
“Dreaming” existed before the life of the individual begins, and continues to exist when the life of the individual ends.
The Spirit Child and The Land of the Mother
Both before and after life, it is believed that this spirit-child exists in the Dreaming and is only initiated into life by being born through a mother.
The spirit of the child is culturally understood to enter the developing fetus during the fifth month of pregnancy.
When the mother felt the child move in the womb for the first time, it was thought that this was the work of the spirit of the land in which the mother then stood.
Upon birth, the child is considered to be a special custodian of that part of their country and is taught the stories and songlines of that place.”
I believe that we all were born because we heard the call to be here on this planet at this time. That we chose to be born in a certain place at the right time to fulfil our purpose.

It’s the story of one woman who leaves her life and all her possessions behind to go on an extraordinary journey. Its a story that dramatically teaches us about letting go.
