Feeling Stressed and Overwhelmed at the Gemini Full Moon?
At the Gemini full moon on November 25th, Saturn makes a tense angle- a square to Neptune. This can result in stress and a possible overwhelm of emotion. It’s a ‘I want to hide under the duvet’ kind of a day!
The stress comes because Saturn and Neptune represent opposite values.
Saturn is grounded in the material realm and says ‘Let’s get to work’. Neptune seeks to escape limitations and opt out. It wants to feel at one with the Whole. It says, ‘Let’s take the day off, stay in bed and watch TV’.
Saturn is practical, disciplined, responsible but also the guilt factor- all the things we know we ‘should’ be doing ‘for our own good’.
Saturn is Lord of Karma. The definition according to Wikipedai is:-
Karma- the spiritual principle of cause and effect where intent and actions of an individual (cause) influence the future of that individual (effect).
The obvious point I’d like to make is not to use this definition to beat yourself up! By our positive actions I believe we change our karma, and the positive attribute of Saturn is to be in service to others.
Neptune takes us into another realm beyond the physical into the spiritual. As God of the Ocean it dissolves our good intentions and weakens what it touches.
Neptune is fantasy, the disappointment that comes with unrequited romantic love. It’s also the highest creative principle, where the artist, the shaman, the film maker, the psychic download and produce their visions. We feel inspired us and transported into other dimensions.
It’s what is known as ‘Christ consciousness’ where we connect with those people we have never met and feel compassion deep within our hearts and souls.
The obvious example of how we are witnessing this in the world is the ongoing crisis with the refugees/migrants in Europe. Neptune offers a sanctuary but doesn’t have boundaries. Saturn says, we can’t take in any more so we must close our borders.
The Gemini Full Moon is ruled by Mercury, so asks us Questions
- How can we resolve this dilemma of two opposing principles?
- Whose side are you on?
It’s the nature of Gemini- ruled by Mercury- to be curious. It’s the journalist who asks relevant questions without making judgements. The problem with Sagittarius is that its shadow is righteousness. Mercury isn’t at home in its opposite sign, so can fall into this trap.
In terms of healing I believe that rather than taking sides, we each need to look within and integrate these opposing energies.
Ask:-
- What research do I need to make to be better informed? (Facebook is full of misinformation!)
- What in my life needs to change?
- What beliefs do I have that no longer serve me?
- In what way can I manifest my vision/creativity (Neptune) so it serves (Saturn) others?
- Who do I need to forgive?
Remember that the ego doesn’t want change!
Healing Your Birth Story Workshop
My last workshop was deep, powerful and immensely healing for all 8 participants.
I am holding my next workshop on January 16th/17th in my local city of Brighton. The chart of the weekend has the Moon in Aries joining with Uranus-the opportunity to change, and a positive contact between Mars and Neptune, invoking the Spiritual Warrior. I invite you to find out more and join me:-
