New Moon in Virgo Asks -What’s Your Story?
The New Moon is the perfect time to hand write your Wish List. As both Jupiter and Uranus aspect this new moon write down some big juicy goals. Jupiter the planet of Great Good Fortune brings abundance, Uranus the Awakener can open up ideas that come out of the blue. Added to this ground breaking New Moon in Virgo is that Pluto the planet of Transformation also joins in. A Grand Trine in practical earth signs is formed.
A perfect opportunity to Manifest
Virgo loves to sort things out, to make lists and prioritise. What do you value? What’s important in your life? What story are you telling? What we focus on we manifest, therefore positive thinking does work. Every day can be joyful once gratitude kicks in. However its so much easier when the sun is shining! The New Moon in Virgo is ruled by Mercury, also in Virgo. Later tonight Mercury changes from retrograde to direct. Its been a long journey for Mercury in Virgo which started on July 28th. It went retrograde on August 24th at 22 degrees Virgo and will be out of its ‘shadow’ on September 30th.
So how has it been for you? In my video I describe some of my problems. Blocked ears for 3 weeks was one problem! In the news are the train strikes continuing and airlines in trouble with many stranded passengers. It will finally move into Libra on October 5th. Perhaps we can all experience some peaceful resolutions.
Venus in Leo is now direct-Blow your own trumpet
Venus went direct on September 4th in Leo. Leo is ruled by the Sun, the place where we have come to shine. Its creative, warm-hearted and signifies leadership. Venus continues its journey through Leo until October 7th. While Venus was retrograde from July 23rd until September 4th relationships have been under a great deal of stress. I recommend that patience is called for.
Venus is square to Jupiter at this New Moon in Virgo. Although they are both benefic planets, Jupiter can be righteous-“god’s on my side”. So my advice is- do you want to be right or happy? Venus will be forming a square to Uranus on September 29th. This is another trigger point for break-ups. Watch out and be careful not to over-react.
Retrogrades Updates
This month sees 5 planets retrograde, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus Neptune and Pluto. When planets are retrograde they are closer to the earth so they can be more important. Every year the planets from Jupiter to Pluto go retrograde for many months so its not unusual. Mercury does it 3 times a year. Mars every 2 years approx, and Venus approx. every 18 months.
The most personal planet Mercury advises us to hand write what we want to manifest as Mercury travels through its exalted sign of Virgo. This is a great for editing, revising and reorganising your communications. Filing is promoted as is clearing your emails! In a nutshell, sort your life out.
FIRE SIGNS Chiron and Healing Your Core Sacrifice Story
Chiron in Aries- the archetype of the Wounded Healer – is activated at this New Moon in Virgo as it forms a wide opposition to Mars in Libra. This becomes exact on September 24th, so look out for old wounds surfacing, especially around the men in your life who may feel weakened as Mars is in peace loving Libra.

- September 4th Venus went direct at 12 degrees Leo.
- September 4th Jupiter went retrograde at 15 degrees Taurus.
- September 15th New Moon in Virgo
- September 16th Mercury is retrograde in Virgo. It goes direct on September 16th. Virgo is where it is exalted. On October 5th it changes sign into Libra.
- September 23rd Sun into Libra at the Autumn Equinox-equal day and night.
- September 29th Full Moon in Aries
EARTH SIGNS Jupiter moved into Taurus on May 16th for an entire year
Jupiter the greater benefic goes retrograde so look where that is in your birth chart. It stations at 15 degrees Taurus. It moved into Taurus for an entire year on May 16th until May 26th 2024. This is wonderful news for Taurus and Scorpio. Jupiter is the planet of faith, faith in life, that life is worth living. It takes 12 years to go around the zodiac, so look back 12 years to understand its influence in your chart. It is the biggest planet in our solar system and Jupiter is Zeus, King of the Gods. It brings good luck, expansiveness and the feel good factor. It truly is the planet of abundance, especially now its in the earth sign of Taurus.
Taurus is an earth sign ruled by Venus, and it promotes all activities connected to the earth such as gardening, music, farming, art, material wealth and all good things on the physical plane. It promotes cleaning and using Marie Kondo’s methods of letting go of anything that doesn’t bring you joy. Taurus is also compatible with the emotional water signs of Pisces, Cancer and Scorpio. Fellow earth signs Virgo and Capricorn also benefit from Jupiter’s gaze.
EARTH SIGNS Uranus is now retrograde in Taurus activating 23 degrees Taurus to 19 degrees Taurus. Change is what Uranus needs. Work with it. Make some practical changes in your life and use the Mercury retrograde period in fellow earth sign Virgo to throw out anything that doesn’t bring you joy. Clear those cupboards!
WATER SIGNS Neptune The Dreamer is now retrograde. In Pisces it favours all the water signs. Watch your visions and dreams, get creative and meditate. We now have an opportunity to bring our dreams into manifestation. Trust your intuition. This is especially significant at this Full Moon.
One key word for Neptune is compassion. However it can also indicate illusion, deceit, scandal, loss, drowning, a feeling of being overwhelmed and lost. If you’ve been feeling exhausted, depressed, over-burdened and with little energy then I recommend taking time out and being kind to yourself. Take comfort and know that “this too will pass”.
Bach Flower remedies such as Elm, Sweet Chestnut and Oak may be helpful. Also for shock Rock Rose or Rescue Remedy.
EARTH SIGNS Pluto is now retrograde and moved back into Capricorn on June 11th. Pluto is an outer planet and affects world events. However it becomes more personal if it connects with one of inner planets in your chart. These are the Sun, Moon, Mercury Venus and Mars. It is activated at mid-life when it makes a square to itself around the age of 38. It moved into Aquarius briefly on March 23rd until June 11th 2023. However it only transits 0 degrees 22 mins Aquarius so not a major transit.
